The assembly was removed from site to our workshop. The repair consisted of, crankshaft bearing face refurbishment, manufacture of all new brass bearings and pins. Gearbox and drive mechanism repair. Full installation and recommissioning.

The gearhead drives were removed and returned to our workshop for full refurbishment. Meanwhile the 4'.00" slewing gear ring was removed and the broken teeth were specialise welded and then recut. The equipment was fully installed and successfully recommissioned.

We have undertaken numerous aerator rotor repairs, as well as their drive systems. In a normal repair we remove the bearing shafts from the rotor, replace the coupling half, refit the new Cooper bearings, split sleeves, return to site for full installation and commissioning.

At SPS, we have repaired many screw pumps of varying sizes and capacities, undertaking work including bearing and shaft repairs, machined housing restoration, gearbox and coupling repairs, lubrication system overhauls, and complete pump system refurbishments.
